OnePlus 8, 8 Pro and 8T get new Open Betas with April 2021 security patch

OnePlus 8

OnePlus may not be the fastest company with its recently released mid-rangers, but the company still keeps the long-standing support for its flagships. A couple of weeks ago, the brand introduced new Open Beta releases for the OnePlus 8 series – OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, and 8T. Now, the company has more OxygenOS Open Betas to bring for these devices. The Open Beta 9 is reaching the first two, while the H2 2020 flagship is getting the Open Beta 3.

The latest release fixes many of the previous bugs that arrived with the last betas. One of these bugs caused the status bar to not display app icons. Certain users also suffered from missed calls not appearing in the notification tray, and from an issue with expanded screenshot stopping abruptly all of sudden. The new beta also introduces a new Data Monitor feature in the Game Toolbox. Despite the name, it is related to games and not with your Data Plan. It will allow users to monitor FPS/CPU/GPU data in real-time. Lastly, the update introduces April 2021 security patch which is awesome.
