Samsung Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha goes official with Intel’s 11th gen SoCs for $849

Samsung has yet again another Galaxy Book to offer to its loyal fans. The company unveiled yesterday its Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 laptops featuring 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch sizes alongside a new Galaxy Book Odyssey and vanilla Galaxy Book. Besides the new laptops, the company put up a new premium laptop for pre-order in the United States’ website. The new laptop carries Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha successor and as the name clearly implies works as a direct successor for the Galaxy Book Flex.

Samsung Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha specifications

The new Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha is coming in the same 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch configurations that its predecessor had. The Flex2 name is honored by a screen that can rotate 360 degrees. This is a QLED panel with 400 nits of regular brightness and 600 nits in the Outdoor mode. The screen has an FHD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels). Moreover, it offers S Pen support. Once again, Samsung is adding one more product to the list of S Pen-supported devices. The company is slowly reducing the exclusiveness of the Galaxy Note and Tab series.

The new laptop comes with the 11th generation of Intel processors. Users can choose between a variant with an Intel Core i5-1135G7 or the Intel Core i7-1165G7 with Intel Iris Xe graphics. The higher variant offers up to 16GB of LPDDR4x with 4,267MHz RAM and up to 512GB SSD. When it comes to the interface the new laptop comes with 1 full-sized HDMI, 1 USB-C, two USB-A 3.2, a microSD card, and a headphone jack.

When it comes to battery life, the South Korean company promises up to 18 and a half hours of battery life. The device comes with a 54Wh battery which recharges at a very good rate of 40W.  The company ships the laptop with its whole set of applications and features including Samsung Gallery, Dex, Flow, Notes, Recovery, Update.
