Galaxy F22 is Samsung’s new affordable F-series smartphone!

Galaxy A22

Last year, Samsung introduced its third lineup of smartphones called the Galaxy F series to bring mid-range camera-centric devices. So far, the lineup consists of two devices – Galaxy F41 and Galaxy F62. The chaebol is already known to be working on Galaxy F52 which recently bagged multiple certifications. Well, it looks like the company has one more device up its sleeves. This time we’re looking at Galaxy F22. As the moniker suggests, it could be the cheapest offering in the lineup.

Galaxy F22 to be based on the unannounced A22

According to a report by SamMobile, Samsung is indeed working on a Galaxy F22 smartphone. As expected, it’s going to be a device designed especially for Indian consumers. The report further claims that the device will most likely be based on the Galaxy A22. It is worth noting that the company hasn’t really launched A22. So far, we’ve been hearing about it in the forms of rumors and leaks.

Gizchina News of the week

The Galaxy A22 recently made an appearance on GeekBench with Dimensity 700 chipset and 6GB RAM. We also have the leaked render images of the smartphone with us that you can check out over here.  Considering the F22 is based on A22, there’s a solid chance that the brand might only launch F22 in India and end up bringing A22 to the rest of the market. On the other hand, the contrary can also happen meaning the brand could end up bringing both the device to the Indian space. Samsung is known for doing such things from time to time.

One thing we’re quite sure about is the fact that the Galaxy F22 is going to be an India-exclusive smartphone. We’re still unsure about whether the F22 will be a 4G or 5G smartphone. Well, we’ll have to wait for more leaks to get back on that. For those who’re unaware, the A22 is going to be company’s cheapest 5G smartphone.

Here’s what we can expect!

As mentioned earlier, the Galaxy F22 could be based on the upcoming A22 smartphone. If that’s the case, then we should see the device borrowing a lot of key specs from the latter. The Galaxy A22 features a triple rear camera module featuring a 48MP primary sensor. The primary lens is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP lens. For selfies, we’re looking at a single 13MP shooter placed inside a waterdrop notch.
