Vivo has promised to release updates for flagship smartphones for three years

The Chinese company Vivo announced the expansion of the support program for its flagship smartphones. We are talking about powerful devices of the X-Series family, which will debut this year.

Vivo intends to distribute Android operating system and security updates within three years of the launch of the new X-Series smartphones. This policy will affect devices released after July 2021.

Vivo notes that upcoming X-Series smartphones will receive the most advanced electronic components, and therefore can remain relevant for several years. In this light, a three-year software update will help ensure the security of user data, as well as allow the implementation of new functions.

In addition, the policy applies to smartphones for the European, Australian and Indian markets. Other devices will receive updates in accordance with the standard cycle.

According to IDC estimates, 345.5 million smartphones were shipped worldwide; in the first quarter of this year, up 25.5% from last year. Vivo is fifth in the list of leading manufacturers with a share of 10.1%.

Vivo is preparing two inexpensive Y-series smartphones: the devices have been certified

Internet sources report that the Chinese company Vivo will soon announce at least two affordable smartphones that will join the Y-Series family. The devices have already lit up in the databases of various certification authorities.
