Much earlier, we learned that OPPO is going to launch a new series of smartphones. It will include the OPPO Reno6, Reno6 Pro and Reno6 Pro+.
Not long ago, Reno6 Pro (PEPM00) and Reno6 Pro+ (PENM00) passed the certification of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. This means that the release date of the Reno6 series is not around the corner.
According to the information disclosed by TENAA, the two Reno6 models adopt a hyperboloid design. They will also have a hole in the upper left corner of the front. On the opposite side, they carry a quad-camera module. The appearance is similar to the previous generation product.

In terms of specific parameters, both models also use a 4500mAh battery capacity and support 65W fast charging. The difference is that the Reno6 Pro will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200 processor, while Reno6 Pro+ will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor.
Dimensity 900 Inside OPPO Reno6
Although the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has no information about the Reno6, today, we got some information that it will debut the Dimensity 900 processor.
This chip is built with TSMC 6nm process and is designed with an octa-core CPU architecture. The latter includes 2 Arm Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and 6 Arm Cortex-A55 high-efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz. The rest of the parameters include a L3 cache 2MB, a 4-core Mali-G68 GPU that brings excellent performance enhancement and rapid experience to high-end 5G mobile terminals, an integrated 5G modem and Wi-Fi 6 support.
At the same time, the Dimensity 900 processor appeared on AnTuTu and scored 480,000 (an engineering machine). So we can say the performance of the OPPO Reno6 will be greatly improved compared with the OPPO Reno5.
The OPPO Reno series has always been focusing on the imaging and video recording. So we guess the upcoming model will focus on these features as well. At the moment we have no concrete information concerning its imaging capabilities. But the Dimensity 900 comes with an improved AI influence brought by the powerful third-generation APU.
Other Features
Prior to this, when various models from the OPPO Reno6 series appeared in this or that leak, we learned that it will come with a 6.55-inch screen (90Hz and 2400×1080 pixels), a 32MP front shooter, at least, 8GB + 256GB storage combination, dual speakers setup and an X-axis linear vibration motor built by AAC Technology.
