Honor 50 may be first to launch with the new Snapdragon 778G SoC

Honor 50

We are promised that the premiere of the Honor 50 family, which will run on Qualcomm chips, should take place at the end of May. Just yesterday a message came that the basic version of the series will receive a processor with the SM7325 index and we had two opinions about it. Someone thought that we were talking about Snapdragon 775, while others talk about the Snapdragon 775G. But it seems that they are both wrong.

Today, information appeared on the network that Honor 50 will receive the exclusive right to be the first to offer the new Snapdragon 778G (SM7325) chip. It is a 6nm platform with 8 Kryo 670 cores (custom Cortex-78 cores) with a peak frequency of 2.4 GHz and an Adreno 642L graphics subsystem. The chipset should offer an integrated 5G ‑ modem Snapdragon X53, Spectra 570L ISP, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E support. Among the distinguishing features of the Snapdragon 778G, they note support for Quick Charge 5 fast charging technology with a power of up to 100 watts.

The Honor 50 will have a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate and a triple rear camera, where the main sensor could be a Sony IMX800.
