Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G TENAA Listing

Since the release of the Galaxy S21, many users have been looking forward to the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (Fan Edition). Following last year’s strategy, this device should come with the same hardware as the Galaxy S21. However, it will water down some aspects of the phone and will be cheaper. According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE recently appeared on TENAA. As usual, the listing reveals some details of this smartphone.

The listing shows that the speculations so far regarding this smartphone have been correct. Thus device will use a center punch-hole 6.4-inch Super AMOLED straight screen. This display comes with a resolution of FHD+ and it supports a 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, this device comes with an under-screen fingerprint sensor.

Just like the rest of the Galaxy S21 series, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will come with a Snapdragon 888 SoC. This chip will be supported by 8GB / 12GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of internal storage. Also, the Galaxy S21 FE will support Android 11 out-of-the-box. To keep its lights on, this device will have a 4370 mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging.

One of the aspects that will be watered down to make the Galaxy S21 FE cheap is the build material. This smartphone will come with a plastic rear but it will still use a matrix triple camera setup. Specifically, it will come with a 12MP wide-angle, 12MP ultra-wide angle, and an 8MP telephoto lens that supports 3x zoom. The overall configuration of this device is not much different from the previous generation.

Looking at the core parameters and screen configuration, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will undoubtedly be a full-blood flagship model with a small screen. The core and screen provide the industry’s top standards, and the price may be more affordable. The Galaxy S21 FE has been assigned model number SM-G9900 in the certification, which implies it is the Chinese version of the device. Both, the Chinese and the US models are expected to pack the Qualcomm, Snapdragon 888 chipset. Samsung will use its own Exynos 2100 in models set to release in other regions.

Previously, the US version of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has a $699 starting price. In China, the starting price of this device is 3,999 yuan ($616). We can also see that this device did not upgrade much relative to the previous generation. Thus, we expect this device to retain the price tag of the previous generation.
