Realme is gearing up to introduce a new MagDart charging technology on August 3. The company will stand as the first smartphone company to unveil magnetic charging technology. This charging mechanism will rely on the phone’s magnets placed on the back, very similar to MagSafe charging on iPhone 12. The company is also preparing two wireless charging devices that will offer magnetic wireless charging for upcoming devices. Ahead of the launch, tipster Mukul Sharma revealed the possible list of devices of the Realme MagDart. He also disclosed the design of the upcoming device.
The Realme MagDart charging technology will be disclosed on August 3. Ahead of the launch, key details about the new solution have leaked. Tipster Sharma states that Realme’s MagDart will support multiple devices and not just smartphones. We know that the first smartphone with this technology is coming very soon. The device will be dubbed Realme Flash and will be the first smartphone from the brand to support MagDart charging. Sharma states that more products, such as the upcoming Realme Book and Realme Pad will also support the magnetic charging solution. Furthermore, Realme products such as its smartwatches and accessories are likely to support the charging technology as well.
The company will unveil two MagDart chargers initially. The first one is a small puck-shaped charger, which will likely come with 15W charging. The bigger charger will feature a boxy design and will also include a fan for heat dissipation. This is hardly something jaw-dropping, but we expect Realme to introduce faster-charging speeds for its new technology in the future. The company was one of the first brands to democratize fast-charging technologies introducing 65W charging mid-range smartphones. Hopefully, it will make blazing fast magnetic chargers in the future.
