Apple shook things up with its 2020 iPad Air, which came with a design upgrade that was major, to say the least, with a new larger display, better SoC and more.
The tablet from the Cupertino-giant makes use of the Apple A14 Bionic SoC, a rather powerful chipset in use in the iPhone 12 series of devices.
The iPad Air 2020 retails for Rs 54,900 in usual times, but now, around a year since its launch, the tablet will be available for less than Rs 43,000, which is a rather interesting offer.
Apple’s iPad Air 2020 to Get a Price Drop Soon!
The Apple iPad Air 2020 is set to get a massive discount during Amazon’s Great Indian Festival. The tablet will be available for Rs 42,990, instead of the current retail rate of Rs 50,900.
This list price is already lower than the launch price, but, if you really are interested in the tablet, it makes a lot of sense to hold off on a purchase for a couple of days, since the 64GB is dropping quite a bit in terms of price.
The higher-end 256GB variant, which currently retails for Rs 63,900, down from the list price of Rs 68,900 is also likely going to get a price cut for this sale.
What Does the Tablet Have to Offer?
The Apple iPad Air 2020 makes use of a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, with P3 wide colour support. The display also comes with an anti-reflective coating and True Tone.
Interestingly, the tablet has swapped the Home Button on the previous versions of the iPad Air to make use of a side-mounted, or rather top-mounted Touch ID sensor. It also supports the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard, which can be connected via magnets present on the iPad Air.
Performance-wise, the iPad Air makes use of the A14 Bionic SoC, which is also present on the entire iPhone 12 series, from the iPhone 12 Mini to the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The iPad Air comes with a USB Type-C port and runs iPad OS. Optics-wise, the iPad Air 2020 relies on a 12MP rear shooter and a 7MP front shooter.
In other news, the Cupertino-based giant has announced that it will offer free AirPods earbuds to customers who purchase either of its two specified smartphones during this festive offer.
The offer is valid for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini in India, with Apple offering free AirPods from October 7 to November 4 of 2021 to customers who purchase either of the two devices.
