Tipster reveals when Samsung will launch its first 200MP smartphone

There have been rumors of a 200MP smartphone in the works. However, as of now, there is no smartphone in the market with this sensor. According to a recent report from @UniverseIce, Motorola will debut Samsung’s 200MP camera. Furthermore, the leakster reveals that Xiaomi will launch a smartphone with this sensor in the second half of next year. As for Samsung, its first 200MP smartphone will arrive in 2023. Although Samsung developed this technology, it will not be the first to use it.

This is not the first time that Samsung will be failing to debut its new technology. Recall that the Xiaomi CC9 Pro debuted Samsung’s 100MP camera (the world’s first 100MP sensor). Just two years after the launch of the first 100MP smartphone, we are now in the era of 200MP smartphones.

According to reports, Samsung’s 200MP sensor model is ISOCELL HP1. It is based on Samsung’s most advanced 0.64μm technology and has an ultra-high resolution ISOCELL HP1 in a small package. This can integrate perfectly into various smartphones of today.

In order to pursue a more extreme low-light shooting effect, ISOCELL HP1 adopts the new ChameleonCell technology, as a pixel synthesis technology. It can use 4×4, 2×2, or full pixel mode according to the use environment. Therefore, the three-star ISOCELL HP1 can be synthesized in large 1.28μm pixels, generating 50MP proofs, large or synthetic 2.56μm pixels, generating 12.5MP proofs.
