Recently, Chinese smartphone giant Realme confirmed the launch of the company’s upcoming GT series of flagship devices, with the company set to host a special event on December 20.

At this event, the company is likely to announce two new smartphones, which include the Realme GT2 and the Realme GT2 Pro. The event poster from the company fails to reveal or hint at any specifications or features, but rumours suggest the devices will run Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

After this announcement, the company is likely to unveil the devices in India in 2022, considering how the company has a stronghold in the country. Here’s everything we know about the two upcoming devices.

Realme Starts Teasing GT 2 Series Prior to Launch

Now, the brand has started teasing the devices, with Realme recently teasing that the Realme GT 2 Series will come equipped with the first paper-like material for the rear panel, with confirmation of the Realme GT 2 Pro featuring a 150-degree ultra-wide camera also coming earlier this week.

The CMO of Realme, Chase recently took to Weibo, the Chinese microblogging site to announce that the Realme GT 2 series of devices will feature a paper-like design.

You can see Chase making use of the Realme GT 2 Pro, so it is likely that the brand will offer this unique texture for the rear panel of the Pro variant.

In other news, alleged Realme 9i smartphone’s live images and details about the upcoming phone’s battery capacity have been spotted on certification sites.

The first Realme 9 series smartphone could be right around the corner. The Realme 9i has been making the rounds online in the form of leaked renders for quite some time now. Moreover, some earlier reports have shed light on the device’s key specifications.

As if that weren’t enough, the Realme 9i design renders, showcasing the phone’s display and camera setup had popped up on the internet earlier this month.

The frequently leaked handset has made another appearance on the web courtesy of MySmartPrice. The publication has spotted the Realme 9i on the FCC, as well as the TUV Rheinland certification websites. As expected, these listings divulge key specifications of the upcoming smartphone from Realme.

The recently spotted FCC certification listing gives us a glimpse of the phone’s rear panel design. The back panel seems to house a triple camera setup.
