After its separation from its parent company, Huawei, Honor has been doing quite well in the smartphone market. The company officially released the first foldable smartphone that uses the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC. The Honor Magic V foldable smartphone has been pre-sold on major e-commerce platforms in China. According to reports, almost 70,000 people have made reservations in JD.com’s official flagship alone. As a high-end mobile phone starting at 9,999 yuan ($1,568), its popularity is high.

However, due to the popularity of this device, the price of the Honor Magic V has been increasing. According to reports, some third-party stores list this flagship smartphone for as much as 17,000 yuan ($2,678) or more. This is only the reservation stage. However, for such a price, it is not recommended that you go to third-party platforms to make a purchase. It is advisable to purchase from a reliable flagship store and Honor Mall. These stores will officially commence sales tomorrow, January 18th. However, it is important to note that it will be very difficult to get a unit considering the popularity of this device.
