The Vivo X80 series was introduced in the Chinese market. However, the company will also hit the global markets very soon. The devices under the series are namely, the Vivo X80 and X80 Pro smartphones. The company did not launch a Vivo X80 Pro+ this time around, but both the X80 and X80 Pro are flagship levered. The new lineup will hit global markets on May 8, which probably includes Malaysia. The Indian market, on the other hand, will get it by May 18. Some enthusiasts believe that Vivo will take this opportunity to unleash the Vivo X80 Pro Plus at the event. However, there is hardly any confirmation around this.
The Vivo X80 Pro device has now been spotted on the FCC website ahead of the May 8 launch. The phone passed by the FCC database with the V2145 model number. Apart from the model number, the device’s dual SIM support is also confirmed via the listing. However, the website does not reveal any other information. Furthermore, the Vivo X80 passed through the NBTC certification with the V2144 model number. Both devices have a 5G network, both phones are listed with 5G network support.

Vivo X80 Pro specifications and features
To recall, the Vivo X80 Pro flaunts a 6.78-inch E5 2K AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone is available in China with two processing units. There is a variant with Dimensity 9000 SoC with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The phone has up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The Vivo X80 Pro packs a 50 MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization, a 48 MP ultrawide lens, a 12 MP portrait camera, and an 8 MP telephoto lens. The device has a 32 MP selfie camera. The phone draws its powers from a 4,700 mAh battery with 80W wired charging and 50W wireless fast charging. The phone will run Android 12-based FuntouchOS 12 across global markets. Last, but not least, the phone measures 9.1 mm in thickness and weighs in at 215 grams.
For now, it’s unclear whether the global variant will have both Dimensity 9000 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC options. It’s not very usual, after all, this can be rather confusing and hard to control. So, we may see the global variant coming with only the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. One possibility is a Dimensity 9000-powered vanilla, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered.
