A hawk-eyed tipster has spotted the Poco F4 Indian variant on the IMEI database before its official debut in the country. However, the aforesaid listing does not confirm the smartphone’s moniker. Nevertheless, it mentions model number 22021211RI, which reportedly belongs to the Poco F4. Not too long ago, Poco separated from Xiaomi to become an independent brand. As a newly formed brand, Poco is sparing no effort to expand its portfolio of devices.

Notably, the model number spotted on the IMEI database ends with the letter “I.” Now, Gadgets 360 suggests the letter could represent India. In other words, this could be the Poco F4 Indian variant. Also, the Poco F4 global model has passed through the Geekbench benchmarking website. Aside from this, the global variant has bagged the FCC certifications. Now, reliable leaker Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) has allegedly spotted the Poco F4 Indian variant on the IMEI database.

This is a major sign that the Poco F4 is on the verge of hitting the store shelves in India. The Poco F4 GT went official in Europe last month. The phone packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. However, the Poco F4 will reportedly come with unimpressive features. Also, it could have run-of-the-mill specs. The Poco F4 global variant has appeared on the Geekbench 5 benchmark database. It carries the model number 22021211RG. Moreover, it could draw power from an octa-core Snapdragon 870 SoC. The phone will ship with 8GB of RAM. It will run Android 12 OS. Moreover, the operating system will have an MIUI 13 skin on top.

The global variant of the F4 scored 1,028 points in the single-core test. Likewise, it got 3,391 points in the multi-core test. The Poco F4 has appeared on the US FCC certification site with model number 22021211G. The listing was originally spotted by MySmartPrice The phone will come with a 4,400mAh battery unit, as per the listing. However, the final product could use a larger 5,000mAh battery to draw its juices. Moreover, this cell will support 67W fast charging. For connectivity, it offers 5GHz Wi-Fi and 2.4GHz W-Fi support. The phone supports N78, N77, and N415G bands.

The Indian variant has appeared on the BIS certification website. The handset carries model number 22021211RI. This suggests that the Poco F4 will land in India soon. So, more details could surface online ahead of the Poco F4 India launch.
