Honor Tab 8 with a 12-inch display and 8 speakers released

Today, Chinese manufacturer, Honor held a press conference where it officially unveiled the Honor Tab 8. The pre-sale price of the Honor Tab 8 starts at 1399 yuan ($207), and the pre-sale will start at 20:30 on July 21st. The first official sale of this device will commence on July 29th. The company also announced that the 8GB + 128GB version of this device will be official in August. Furthermore, the company announced the Honor Tab 8 smart keyboard for only 279 yuan ($41).  After the pre-sale, here are the regular prices of the Honor Tab 8

• 4GB + 128GB – 1499 yuan ($222)
• 6GB + 128GB – 1799 yuan ($266)
• 8GB + 128GB – 1999 yuan ($295)

The Honor Tab 8 comes with a 12-inch high-definition full screen with a resolution of 2000 x 1200. The LCD display comes with a 7.2 mm narrow bezel as well as an 87% screen ratio. The screen also supports a 10:6 screen ratio, 2K high-definition resolution, and a 1.07 billion colour display. This device uses an integrated metal body and it is 6.9 mm thin and weighs 520g. 

Under the hood, this tablet comes with a mid-range processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chip. In the camera department, it has a 5-megapixel on the rear and another 5-megapixel camera in front. To keep its lights on, there is a decent 7250 mAh battery that supports a 22.5W fast charge. This device also supports a USB Type-C interface as well as USB 2.0.

Honor Tab 8 – Eight stereo speakers

This tablet also uses eight stereo speakers, supports Honor’s self-developed audio tuning algorithm, DTS audio tuning technology and has the Hi-Res Small Gold Label certification. The company says this “brings a more vivid and shocking sound effect experience”. The tablet is available in three colours including mint green, blue and gold. 

In terms of eye protection, Honor Tab 8 has Rheinland hardware-level low blue light certification. The eye protection certification means that there is no flicker. Furthermore, Honor equips this tablet with massive educational resources. It supports smart multi-windows, and one screen can take into account both online classes and memorization. This new tablet adopts the Magic UI 6.1 system. After the multi-screen collaboration of the mobile phone and the tablet, you can chat while shopping. The application split screen supports the free adjustment of a three-speed window.
