September 7 will be a great day for Apple enthusiasts, after all, the Cupertino-based company is expected to introduce its new iPhone 14 series. As per the new reports, we’re going to see the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus (Yes Plus, not Max), iPhone 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max. However, the show will not be only made of iPhones. The company will also introduce the new Watch Series 8 and a brand new Apple Watch Pro model. The latter will be an excellent star and novelty for the Watch series. It will feature a ruggedized, durable design and some advanced features. However, some analysts and people familiar with the matter expect a new affordable Apple Watch.
A new Apple Watch for kids?
The Apple Watch Pro will justify its “Pro” features with a new expensive price tag. As per the analysts, there is another Apple Watch coming at the other end of the pricing spectrum. In fact, this new model may be even cheaper than the current Watch SE. Apple, apparently, is aiming at kids with this new Watch. Not exactly aiming at kids, but at their parents that want their kids to be equipped with a “trackable” device that will be attached to them the most time. Furthermore, this Apple Watch may come with cellular connectivity. Therefore, parents can use Family Setup without needing an iPhone for their kids.

Unfortunately, details about this Apple Watch model are scarce at the moment. However, given the cheaper price tag, we expect only essential functions. For comparison, the SE currently costs between $329 and $359 depending on the size. The new Watch model may arrive with a price tag below the $300 mark. Something between the $250 and $270 price tag would be really remarkable for an Apple device. It will be interesting to see this watch this “for kids” approach. However, it will be even more interesting if it comes with more features. Perhaps, it will offer a decent Watch experience without some sensors and with small limitations here and there.
The new premium Watch Pro
Going back to the Apple Watch Pro, the report also mentions it as a “premium” watch for athletes and demanding people. It will come with advanced sensors and a truly-durable design. As per the rumors, the new watch will have Sapphire glass and a new kind of durable Titanium for the build. Its price tag will break the $999 barrier.
