Windows 11 now offers better control of what’s running on your PC

Windows 11

Windows Task Manager will get a variety of new features from Microsoft. The Redmond company plans to include a search feature to let you sort through the active processes.

The task manager in Windows 11 is still developing. Microsoft has added a number of new capabilities to the most recent version of the operating system that was made available through the beta channel in an effort to enhance the tool. The first is nothing more than a filtering option for the current list of processes.

Windows 11: Enter a process’ name to quickly find it

This choice appears as a search field available in the Task Manager window’s top. You can quickly search through the numerous processes operating on your computer by just entering the name of a program or process.

This search field’s methodology enables the presentation of all instances relating to the term. If it can be in use from the processes tab, the task manager’s other pages (or tabs) will likewise take the filter settings into account. You will be able to monitor a particular process more easily and determine the effect it may have on your PC’s performance on its own.

Better theme management and more straightforward efficiency mode use

Microsoft introduced the option to activate a dark theme for its task manager a few months ago. But since this theme only applied to the task manager’s main window and excluded dialog boxes. The display management of this theme hasn’t been managed in the best possible way up to this point. This conduct needs to change right away. First, Microsoft will add a new setting to Task Manager settings that will let you select any theme you want, separate from the Windows default theme.

With two exceptions, all created dialogs now also support the Task Manager’s dark appearance. It won’t be available in the Create a new task and Properties dialogs. Finally, Microsoft enhances Efficiency Mode management. With the addition of the “Do not ask me again” option. You will soon be able to activate or deactivate it without opening the confirmation dialog.
