The Xiaomi Mi 13 will be the world’s first smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It’s not only a chance to sell more phones but also a responsibility. We mean the devices in the future series should perform well and show all the advantages of the new mobile chip. In this sense, it’s very important to have a system running smoothly. Xiaomi does have it!

Today, a Weibo leakster revealed the key features referring to the above two (software and processor) and the secondary camera sensors. We can see that the firm will continue to find its place in the premium phone market.

Xiaomi Mi 13 specs

The entire Xiaomi Mi 13 series comes standard with the 3.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 flagship platform. Plus, all models in this family will run the MIUI 14 system. Prior to this, we learned that the lineup would include three models – the vanilla version, the Pro model, and the Ultra model. But the latter won’t be announced in the coming months.

The Pro variant will come with the Sony IMX989 primary camera sensor. The latter debuted with the Xiaomi Mi 12S Ultra and came with a 1-inch super outsole. This is the best camera sensor in the smartphone market.

The photosensitive area of ​​the IMX 989 is larger by 172%, while its photosensitive ability has been increased by 76%. At the same time, the camera operates 32.5% faster and launches 11% more quickly. It can record chip-level 4K HDR night scene videos. The phone’s primary camera will also support OIS (optical image stabilization).

In other aspects, the Xiaomi Mi 13 standard version will use a 6.26-inch OLED flexible straight screen, whereas the Mi 13 Pro will use a 6.7-inch Samsung 2K E6 curved screen with narrow borders. The chin should be very narrow as well.

The battery capacity is still unknown. But it will support 67W-120W super-fast charging.
