Xiaomi CyberOne and CyrberDog to attend the MWC 2023

Xiaomi CyberOne

Xiaomi surprised the world last year when it presented its concept humanoid robot – the CyberOne. A few months after the teaser, the company seems to be ready to present it to a wider public. According to a new report, Xiaomi CyberOne is ready to attend the MWC 2023 in Barcelona. Moreover, the company will also take its four-legged robot dog, the CyberDog to the annual fair. Perhaps, their presence at the MWC 2023, means that they are almost ready for the international market.

Xiaomi CyberOne and CyberDog will appear on the global stage

The Xiaomi CyberOne comes with a Mi-Sense depth vision module and boasts an AI algorithm. It can perceive the 3D space and recognize individuals, gestures, and expressions. There is also the MiAI environment semantics recognition engine and a MiAI vocal emotion engine that can detect your voice. The CyberOne can recognize 85 types of environmental sounds and 45 classifications of human emotions. It comes with a curved OLED module, that allows real-time interactive info to be shown.

The Cyberone will come alongside the Cyberdog. The “animal robot” comes with NVIDIA’s Jetson Xavier NX platform and has 11 built-in sensors. It is much smaller than the competition and costs about $1,540. That’s not much when you take in mind that this is a robot. The CyberDog can be controlled in three ways. You can use your mobile phone, voice control, or remote control. We assume that this is some sort of lock for phones that are able to control it. For instance, there is support for devices like the Redmi K40 series, K30 5G, 10X Pro, Redmi 10X, and Mi Mix 2S. However, if Xiaomi is bringing Cyberdog to global markets, then it will likely expand access to all phones.

Xiaomi plans to release 1,000 of these robots, which is not much. After all, enthusiasts that have money will likely run to grab one of these units. Worth noting, however, that both CyberOne and CyberDog are still limited in functionality. So it’s not like Xiaomi is offering a product that will conquer all average users. The brand’s focus is on building hardware for the NVIDIA platform. Also, both CyberOne and CyberDog are good tools for developers to try programming in robotics.

The CyberOne tech is promising but still is in a very early stage. So you don’t need to worry, Skynet is not ready to conquer humanity. However, just imagine a robot like the CyrberOne, powered by ChatGPT. No reason to concern, right?

MWC 2023 is promising for tech enthusiasts

The return of the MWC will be marked with a lot of good releases. The Chinese brands are coming with full steam! Xiaomi, OnePlus, Realme, and Honor are all set to introduce new products, so stay tuned!
