Samsung has recently unveiled the Galaxy A24, which is considered one of the cheapest A series devices, taking over the Galaxy A23. However, the company has made the phone even more attractive by adding it to its four-year update list. Previously, the Galaxy A33 was the cheapest Samsung A series device to receive Samsung’s industry-leading update commitment. The Galaxy A24 runs on One UI 5.1 based on Android 13, which guarantees that the phone will receive updates all the way to Android 17. Moreover, the phone will receive five years of security updates, which is a huge update promise for a phone that costs under $300.

Currently, the Galaxy A24 is available in Vietnam and a few African regions, and there is no news yet about its availability and pricing in the US. The phone comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that has a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 chip and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. The Galaxy A24 has 6/8GB RAM, 128GB storage, and dual-SIM connectivity. It also has a dedicated microSD card slot that can expand the storage up to 1TB.

The rear camera system of the Galaxy A24 features three shooters. It include a 50MP wide lens, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. On the other hand, the front camera has a 13MP selfie shooter. The phone comes in two color options, Lime Green and Vampire Black.

In conclusion, the Samsung Galaxy A24 is an affordable phone that promises to receive updates up to Android 17 and five years of security updates.
