The Galaxy S24 Series Could Come With These New Zoom Sensors

It goes without saying that Samsung flagship devices bring some of the best zoom camera sensors. Take the Galaxy S23 Ultra, for example. Its zooming capabilities have awed the world! Well, the same trend will continue, and the Galaxy S24 series is likely to bring next-level zoom photography features.

But at the current stage, Samsung primarily relies on the sensors that are from Sony. However, Samsung has recently requested the protection of trademarks for two brand-new zoom sensors. That naturally indicates that the South Korean giant could make a switch with the Galaxy S24 series.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Could Come With ISOCELL Zoom and ISOCELL Zoom Pro

Samsung has been making ISOCELL sensors for a long time. But for the previous flagships, Samsung has opted for a mix of in-house and Sony sensors. However, Samsung did make a lot of noise with the debut of the 200MP ISOCELL sensor found in the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Still, Samsung has never added the term “zoom” in the naming convention of ISOCELL sensors before. So, for the new trademark applications, it is possible that we might see a different zoom setup on the Galaxy S24 series. Even if the other phones do not get it, the Galaxy S24 might indeed come with a new zoom sensor.

Previous rumors have hinted that the Galaxy S24 Ultra could come with a variable zoom sensor. They have also shared that the sensor might offer 150x zoom capabilities. The fancy new ISOCELL Zoom sensors might bring such camera capabilities to the upcoming phones.

However, remember that all of these pieces of information are nothing but speculations. Samsung might not even use these new sensors for the Galaxy S24 series. Instead, the South Korean giant might be saving them up for future phones. Hopefully, we will get more information about the sensors soon.
