Samsung has exciting news for its customers. Firstly, they have announced that the upcoming Galaxy Watch series will have FDA-approved features. Moreover, the Galaxy Watch 6 series will have a part that can monitor your pulse. This feature will help people detect if their heartbeat is uneven.

Samsung named the new feature Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification (IHRN). In fact, it is a part of the heart test function on Galaxy Watches, and the FDA in the US approved it.

Subsequently, Samsung will reveal the Galaxy Watch 6 series at the Samsung Unpacked 2023 event. The watch will use Samsung’s latest One UI 5 Watch program. Rumors suggest the Galaxy Watch 6 will come in a basic model and a Classic model with a physical turning bezel. However, as of the writing of this article, Samsung has not yet given us the details of which Galaxy Watch versions will receive the IHRN feature. This feature runs in the background and checks your pulse with the Galaxy Watch 4 series health sensor.

We expect the Galaxy Watch 6 to arrive with many features thanks to the One UI 5 update. In addition, the One UI 5  will bring safety features, including fall alerts and automatic SOS calls to help users sleep better.  The Software update is only suitable for Wear OS Galaxy smartwatches like the Galaxy Watch 4 and newer models. It will not be available for older models powered by Tizen, like the Galaxy Watch 3.

Samsung has high hopes for 2023, with its expected launch in August. Therefore users who want to track their health more completely and correctly will find the Watch 6 series appealing thanks to its FDA-approved heart-rate monitoring ability.
