Per the promo video, the Sony Xperia 5 V will be a proper upgrade to its predecessor. Yes, the upcoming flagship device will be ditching the three-camera configuration that’s found in the Xperia 5 IV. But that’s not everything that the promo video has shared. There’s more!
Closer Look at the Promo Video of Sony Xperia 5 V
If you look back, the Sony Xperia 5 IV came with an ultra-wide and telephoto sensor along with its primary sensor. Although it’s unclear which sensor Sony has ditched from the Xperia 5 V, it’s likely the telephoto sensor. The lack of a telephoto sensor would mean that Sony has prioritized the ultra-wide and primary sensor of the 5 V. That is a good thing, as those are the two sensors that most people use.
On that note, the lack of a telephoto sensor on the Xperia 5 V could be hinting at a price change. After all, as it does not have a piece of hardware, the manufacturing cost should be lower than the Xperia 5 IV.

That is, the upcoming device could be cheaper than the predecessor. Besides, the promo video of the Sony Xperia 5 V confirmed that there are not many changes on the front. It still rocks no punch-hole cutout at the top, which is something that most of the flagship phones these days are coming with.

Also, the video revealed that the Xperia 5 V will retain the 3.5mm headphone jack, which is a plus point as it has become quite rare in flagship devices.
