How to set RAM Expansion in rugged Ulefone Armor 22 to improve performance

RAM

RAM is quite a volatile memory, that operates faster than any other form of storage. When you launch an application on your phone, it’s referred to as a process and these processes (multiple apps) are temporarily stored in physical memory in the background. RAM facilitates faster app loading, reducing lag or delays. Similarly, the virtual RAM uses the phone’s internal storage as a temporary RAM substitute – which is commonly known as Virtual RAM. And some phones, like the new rugged Ulefone Armor 22 can take advantage of that.

Specifically, when there are a dozen of apps simultaneously running in your Android smartphone and there is no more space in the actual RAM of the phone so what actually happens in Android closes the apps which are not running in the background or performing any dynamic tasks in the background. Or the system just kills the app, that has the lowest priority and whichever is the oldest app among the dozen of apps.

In particular, when a dozen apps are concurrently running on your Android smartphone and the physical memory is fully occupied, Android takes action by closing apps, that are neither active in the background nor engaged in dynamic tasks.

App like the calendar, which don’t have numerous dynamic background tasks, will be shifted to the Virtual RAM if necessary. This is because internal storage is considerably slower than RAM and isn’t suitable for handling dynamic apps like games or heavy apps such as payment apps. Android will only relocate less critical apps to virtual memory, ensuring that more substantial tasks always remain in actual memory.

Armor 22 Expansion RAM Performance

As the video demonstrates, when the maximum virtual RAM is set to 8GB, it becomes evident, that this significantly enhances multitasking capabilities. You can run numerous apps in the background, while also improving overall performance. Allowing for smooth gameplay and video playback.
