Vivo X100 Series Will Be Launched in India on January 4

Vivo X100 Pro

Back last month, Vivo took the wraps off the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro in China. The phones were launched globally earlier this month. Now, the Vivo X100 series is heading to the market in India. Vivo confirmed the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro will launch in India on January 4, 2024, at noon local time. In this article, we will discuss details about the release of the two new flagships in the Indian market.

Vivo X100 Series Key Features

The Vivo X100 series will go on sale in India via Flipkart once it goes official. Since the devices have been launched in the Chinese market, we already know what to expect from them in terms of specifications. The major difference is that the Indian market will get the versions with Android 14 straight out of the box instead of Funtouch OS 14.

The Vivo X100 and X100 Pro are equipped with a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone has the Dimensity 9300 with 4 x ARM Cortex-X4 cores and 4 x ARM Cortex-A720 cores. They are powered by the Immortalis G720 GPU which grants extreme performance on gaming. The X100 series comes with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 1 TB of Internal Storage. When it comes to the software, the device runs Android 14 straight out of the box with Funtouch OS 14 skin running atop.

Powerful Camera Combination

Both smartphones have a triple-camera setup. The Vivo X100 comes with a 50 MP primary camera, a 64 MP periscope telephoto shooter, and a 50 MP ultra-wide lens. The Vivo X100 Pro includes a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP periscope telephoto module, and a 50 MP ultrawide camera. Both devices have the same 32 MP camera for selfies and video calls. The other key features in these smartphones include in-display fingerprint scanners and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

Gizchina News of the week

The pricing for these devices in India is not yet available. Vivo will likely tease more aspects of these devices in the coming days. The Vivo X100 series will compete with the likes of the OnePlus 12 once they reach India. The biggest appeal of these devices, however, is in the camera department. They have certain advantages over regular flagships due to the powerful camera software and the features that come from the partnership with ZEISS.
