Google set to upgrade the Google TV UI design optimization, circular icons & more

Google officially announced that it will upgrade its Google TV shortly. This update will re-adjust some UI designs and also bring some functional updates. In the next few months, this new update will start rolling out to all devices. This update will bring a new design to Google TV. The application icons use the same circular icon design as the Google Pixel series mobile phones to save the screen space occupied by the App.

At the same time, Google will also allow users to add more applications to the Google TV application library and provide “reorder” and “add applications” functions. The customizability of Google TV will be much better. 

Google has said that it will provide users with news, movies, sports programs and other content for free. Free TV channels have been added to Android TV a few months ago. Thus, Google TV will also support free TV channels in a recent upgrade.
