iQOO 15 Pops Up Again — Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, Big Battery, and More?

So, here we go again with the iQOO 15. This phone has been teased a bunch of times now, but the latest hint popped up during a gaming livestream in China, which feels… kinda casual? Like, it wasn’t planned, but someone couldn’t resist dropping a clue. The scene was a League of Legends: Wild Rift event, where the actress Zhao Lusi was using the older iQOO 11S. Then, out of nowhere, the product manager joked about sending her the iQOO 15. The official account confirmed it too—so yeah, there it is, the phone exists and is coming. Whether they meant to reveal it or not is unclear.

iQOO 15 Snapdragon

This isn’t the first tease, mind you. Just before ChinaJoy, iQOO said winners of a big gaming tourney would get the iQOO 15. So they’re definitely warming people up, which makes me think it’ll launch soon. Maybe late this year?

As for specs—well, it’s rumored there will be two versions: the regular iQOO 15 and the Ultra. Both reportedly have a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset (that’s Qualcomm’s new top dog), and a triple 50MP camera setup, including a 3x periscope zoom lens. Sounds decent if a bit expected.

iQOO 15 comes with huge battery?

Battery? Big. 7,000mAh. That’s nice and should handle long gaming or streaming sessions. Software will be OriginOS 6 on Android 16, nothing flashy but current. The Ultra might bring some gamer goodies—like a cooling fan inside and gaming triggers, which sounds neat but also makes me wonder about how much that adds in real life. Plus, there’s a rumor it’ll drop early next year while the standard one comes out this year. That’s a weird stagger but okay.

iQOO 15 Snapdragon

Honestly, iQOO’s playing to its strengths—big battery, strong chip, gamer features. It’s a familiar playbook but with that Snapdragon Elite 2 onboard, it might have some extra punch. Will it actually impress? We’ll have to see reviews. Sometimes all these teasers raise expectations that don’t quite pan out.

Anyway, that’s the latest from iQOO—quietly teasing, slowly building hype. Something to watch for if you care about performance phones with gaming chops.
