Honor has launched another 5G smartphone in China, in the form of the Honor X30 Max. This is the latest 5G handset from the company that aims to cater to content consumers.
The device features a massive 7.09-inch display, blurring the lines between a smartphone and a tablet, with a dual-camera setup to the rear and a beefy battery to power the aforementioned display. Here’s everything you need to know about Honor’s latest offering.
Honor X30 Max: Pricing and Variants
The Honor X30 Max is available in two storage variants, with a base variant featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, set to retail for CNY 2,399 or around Rs 28,000. The higher end 256GB variant will be available for CNY 2,699 or Rs 31,500. The device is available in three hues, Titanium Silver, Black and Sea Blue.
The key feature of the device is its display, which is a whopping 7.09-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of FHD+. The screen has 100% DCI-P4 color gamut and a 90% screen-t0-body ratio, which is impressive considering the water-drop notch to the top. Honor says the display has a peak brightness of 780 nits and supports HDR10.

Performance is no slouch either, with the device relying on MediaTek’s Dimensity 900 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. All of this is powered by a rather large 5000 mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging. The device boots Magic UI 5.0 on top of Android 11 out of the box.
Towards the rear is a dual-camera stack with a primary 64MP shooter with a secondary 2MP depth sensor. There is an 8MP front shooter. The device features dual-stereo speakers and has a USB Type-C port for charging. It weighs 228 grams and is 8.3mm thick.
Connectivity options include 5G network support, dual SIM, dual-band WiFi, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
