Meta has just announced some new features to come for Facebook and Instagram users, always with a view to competing with TikTok. Indeed, Instagram users will now be able to post their Reels directly on Facebook. A way to reach a larger audience.

Despite its position as the most downloaded app in the world on the Play Store, Instagram has been up against a major competitor for a few years now: TikTok. The Chinese social network also shines on the European and American markets, where it occupies the place of the most downloaded app.

In recent months, Instagram has deployed many features to attract TikTok users, starting with Reels of course. These video clips that take up the flagship principle of TikTok. In June 2022, Instagram took copying to the next level by extending the length of Reels to 90 seconds.

However, this declared desire to become a kind of TikTok variant does not really appeal to Instagram fans. And in the face of criticism, the application decided to backtrack. And pledged to no longer offer features already available from its main opponent.

Despite this announcement, Meta does not want to leave the field open to TikTok. That’s why the company confirmed this Tuesday, August 16, 2022 the launch of several upcoming features for Facebook and Instagram users.

First, Instagram users will now be able to post Reels directly to Facebook. With this feature, content creators will be able to reach an even wider audience by sharing their videos on both Instagram and Facebook. And above all, they will be able to take advantage of the monetization systems of the two platforms.

Among the other new features, we also note the possibility of creating Reels using stories already shared previously. Make it easy to create Reels using your favorite memories. Another change coming to Reels is the addition of the “Add Yours” sticker. Which allows users to create a new story from a trend via a simple tap.

According to Meta, these features are being rolled out to users around the world. In fact, and if you don’t have access to them yet, don’t panic. These tools should be available in the coming days.
