Some of you will remember Apple's debacle last year when the company admitted to be slowing down phones after some years due to their battery getting worse. This, without giving the user an option whether they wanted more performance or stability.
As an answer to the negative uproar from the community, Apple decided to change
iPhone's batteries for the small price of just $29, which is $50 off the ordinary $79 fee. Well, that offer will be over in a month, because, starting in 2019, Apple repair centers will charge $49 for most iPhones, while the new iPhone X will be fixed for $69.
The newer
iPhone XS series and
iPhone XR aren't affected by this news as they have been released after the iphone battery gate, meaning you already had the possibility to select which mode to run.
So, in conclusion, go get your battery swapped if you own an older iPhone as it'll get pricier after December 31st.
