Lenovo after month of teasing
us with their
tablet offering the LePad
Android tablet, have finally
launched the
10 inch machine to compete with Apple's
iPad and the slew of domestically made machines.
Like most other manufactures
Lenovo are marketing the LePad
tablet in either an entry level Wi-Fi only model and a 3G version with prices starting as low as 3500 Yuan ($530) which is 700 Yuan more than current
iPad 1 pricing. The
10 inch tablet uses a capacative screen and supports mulit-touch and uses the Google developed
Android 2.2 OS.
Lenovo have great plans for the LePad and claim they will have up to 8000 Applications available for the
tablet device by the end of the year! What's more
Lenovo have also hinted at the possibility of a
LePad 2 and even a LePad 3 seeing daylight before 2011 comes to an end!
