Xiaomi Mi3 and Mi2S could be offered in gold in the future

With the popularity of the gold iPhone 5S here in China, Xiaomi are also planning to launch gold versions of their smartphones.

The luxurious look of a gold phone is just what some Chinese phone customers are looking for. Thankfully phone makers like Apple and now Xiaomi have gone for a less bling gold and more subtle Champagne option.

Xiaomi will launch the Mi3 with Nvidia Tegra 4 later this month, and the Snapdragon 800 version sometime in November. The Mi2S is currently available in China and selling well at a new low retail price of 1799 Yuan.
