For Android enthusiasts, August 2025 was another month to watch performance battles closely. Once again, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Extreme chips flexed their muscles, while MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ held strong, proving it’s no underdog.
AnTuTu collected data for the
entire month, focusing only on devices with more than 1,000 valid benchmark scores. This approach is important—it avoids the inflated “peak” numbers that some brands advertise and gives a
realistic picture of daily performance.
The Top Three Standouts
Red Magic 10S Pro+
No surprises here: the Red Magic 10S Pro+ held onto
first place for the fourth consecutive month, averaging
2,947,567 points. Why does it stay on top? The secret sauce is the
Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Edition. This chip runs slightly faster than the standard Extreme Edition, with a prime core at
4.47GHz and a GPU hitting
1.2GHz. Combined with performance tuning, it’s clear this phone is built for gamers and power users who want consistently high performance without throttling.
Vivo X200 Ultra
Second place goes to the
Vivo X200 Ultra, scoring
2,899,541 points. Unlike the Red Magic, this phone focuses on
photography, with a triple-lens system covering 14mm, 35mm, and 85mm, plus 2x ISZ for wider coverage. But don’t be fooled—its Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition ensures it doesn’t lag in gaming or everyday tasks. If you’re a content creator who also enjoys smooth gameplay, this phone strikes a strong balance.
iQOO Neo 10 Pro+
In third, the iQOO Neo 10 Pro+ averaged 2,875,495 points. The Neo series is designed to give near-flagship performance without the premium price. That makes it a great pick for users who want speed and responsiveness, but don’t want to spend over a thousand dollars.

What’s Coming in September
Qualcomm is gearing up to launch the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 on September 23. Early leaks show two prime cores at 4.61GHz, six performance cores at 3.63GHz, and the Adreno 840 GPU at 1.2GHz. Samsung is reportedly building a higher-clocked version for the Galaxy S26 with prime cores up to 4.74GHz. If early AnTuTu numbers are any indication, scores could easily surpass 4 million points—a huge leap.
MediaTek isn’t sitting still either. On September 22, the
Dimensity 9500 goes official, built on a
3nm TSMC process. Its four Cortex-X930 cores and four Cortex-A730 cores, paired with a
12-core Mali-G1 Ultra GPU, promise high-end performance. Geekbench 6 results show single-core scores over 3,900 and multi-core above 11,000. Phones using
1TB UFS 4.1 storage could see a further 80k–100k bump on AnTuTu, pushing overall scores above 4 million.
It’s safe to say that September 2025 will be a turning point, with Qualcomm and MediaTek competing head-to-head at unprecedented levels. Gamers, tech enthusiasts, and reviewers alike will have plenty to test and compare.
