Your favourite Chinese tech site just got a whole lot faster!

Did you notice yet? GizChina.com (your favourite Chinese tech site) just got a whole lot faster!

Karel and co. managed to do some backend magic (that I really don't know much about, to be honest) to make GizChina a whole lot faster.

The update, I'm told, has something to do with adding an Nginx proxy server in between the client and the apache host. Don't worry if it doesn't make sense to you (we're on the same boat), it just means that the site is now going to be much faster than before!

If you're more into numbers, the GizChina homepage (one of the heaviest pages on the site) loads in about one second as compared to four seconds previously. How cool is that!
