Forza Horizon 6 Has a Villain - And the Whole Community Is After Them

Since Forza Horizon 6's May 19 release, one AI drivatar named Bowie Knife99 has become the game's ultimate villain. The community didn't create this player. Playground Games did. Additional AI drivers are coded into Forza Horizon 6 beyond the regular drivatar system, and Bowie Knife99 is the most infamous of them all.
Dozens of clips went viral showing Bowie Knife99 ramming players off the road, sometimes landing on them from above, and sometimes beating them in a drag race while driving a tricycle. Xbox's official account joined in. So did Battlefield, HITMAN, Resident Evil, and Cyberpunk. Japan has a new problem.

How Drivatars Work — and Why This One Is Different
In Forza Horizon 6 lobbies, AI drivatars fill races, many named after existing players, developers, or influential accounts. They're trained on real player data — if a real player drives recklessly, their drivatar tends to as well. Minor bumps, drifts, and overtakes are expected behaviour.
Bowie Knife99 is different. Whether it's in online races or solo ones, it's seemingly on every street corner — and it's sent the programming haywire in a way not seen across all six Forza Horizon games. The aggressive ramming, impossible speed in joke cars, and cross-country dominance suggest something went very wrong — or very right — in how this particular drivatar was trained.
The Tricycle Incident
The most beloved clip shows Bowie Knife99 handily outpacing some of the fastest cars in the world in a straight drag race — while driving a three-wheeled vehicle. "Thought I had this drag race in the bag, JUST FOR THE CAMERA TO TURN AROUND AND SHOW ME LOSING TO A TRICYCLE," one player posted. The clip has become the defining image of Bowie Knife99's reign.
Community Justice
Players have been knocking Bowie Knife99 off course, ramming it into barriers, and pushing it off the road — doing anything to make sure the drivatar doesn't win, even at the cost of their own race position. "Justice for all the Bowie Knife victims" has become a community rallying cry. Some players share dedicated revenge clips. Others warn that Bowie Knife99 will fight back if you get too aggressive.
This is Forza Horizon 6's first community legend. It emerged within a week of launch.
