CHUWI has officially introduced the new CHUWI
CoreBook Air, a lightweight Copilot+ PC. The CHUWI CoreBook Air is designed for users who want AI-powered performance, long battery life, and a high-resolution display in a portable package.
The new laptop is powered by
Intel's Core Ultra 5 226V processor based on the Lunar Lake architecture. According to CHUWI, the device combines strong performance, improved power efficiency, and advanced AI capabilities while maintaining a compact and lightweight design.
CHUWI CoreBook Air - Lightweight Design Meets Premium Features
The CHUWI CoreBook Air weighs approximately 1.2kg and features a CNC-machined aluminum chassis. CHUWI says the notebook was designed for students, professionals, and creators who need a device that is easy to carry without sacrificing performance.
On the front, users get a 14-inch IPS display with a 2880 x 1800 resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen also covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut, making it suitable for content creation, media consumption, and everyday productivity tasks.
Intel Lunar Lake Powers AI Features
At the heart of the laptop is the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor, featuring 8 cores, 8 threads, and boost speeds up to 4.5GHz. The system also includes Intel Arc 130V graphics, which CHUWI says can deliver up to twice the graphics performance of previous-generation Intel Iris Xe solutions.
The laptop is equipped with Intel's AI Boost NPU, providing up to 40 TOPS of dedicated AI processing power. Combined CPU, GPU, and NPU performance reaches up to 97 TOPS, enabling local AI workloads without relying heavily on cloud-based processing.
Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed and supports Copilot+ PC features, including Click to Do, Cocreator, Live Captions, and quick access to Microsoft's Copilot assistant through a dedicated AI key.
The CHUWI CoreBook Air includes 16GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 8533 MT/s and a 512GB PCIe SSD. Storage can be upgraded later, giving users additional flexibility.
Despite its slim design, the laptop packs a 55Wh battery that CHUWI claims can provide up to 15 hours of local video playback. A bundled 65W USB-C charger can recharge the battery to approximately 63% in one hour.
Connectivity is another strong point. The laptop features two Thunderbolt 4 ports, three USB-A ports, HDMI 2.0, a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. The Thunderbolt ports support data transfer speeds up to 40Gbps, external displays, Power Delivery charging, and even external GPU connectivity.
