Rumours of the next version of
Android have sprung up again stating that we could see an
Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie release this October!
Most Android fans expected Google to announced, or at least mention, the new version of Android at Google I/O last month however the search giant failed to do so. And while we believed that Google would release
Android 4.3 ahead of 5.0, the
rumours just won't keep at bay!
According to sources
Key Lime Pie will be the most optimised version of the Android operating system to
date and will require just 512mb
RAM to run! In theory this would mean almost all Android devices should be able to run the latest
OS helping to keep everyone on the same page and avoiding fragmentation, IF manufacturers roll out
updates that is!
We expect to see the
Nexus 5 to be the first
Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie phone on the market later this year.
