From past
JiaYu launches, we don’t expect the
Snapdragon powered JiaYu
S1 to
launch anytime soon, but it’s still exciting to keep up to
date with the latest developments!
We expecting to see a lot of new
phones from JiaYu before the end of the year. A Turbo version of the JiaYu G4 with
2GB RAM is on the cards as well the Mediatek powered JiaYu G5 and G6, but before then the JiaYu
S1 should be hitting stores.
The JiaYu
S1 is the most exciting
phone we have seen from JiaYu as it will be the first Snapdragon powered
phone and one of their first FHD
1080 models.
A recent post of the
official JiaYu Forum here in
China has also unearthed a few more
details about the
S1. The
processor will be the same 1.7Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 600 as found in the Xiaomi Mi2s and it will get
2GB RAM and
32GB of built-in memory.
The
display is a 5-inch full HD 1920 x
1080 OGS panel with a pixel density of 441ppi and will likely have Gorilla Glass 2 protection. A 3 mega-pixel front camera will sit above the
display and a 13 mega-pixel sensor will be on the rear with and F/2.2 aperture.
Other
details include OTG support, magnetic compass, built-in Yamaha audio chip, narrow screen bezels plus all the usual
Android smartphone features (WIFI, Bluetooth, GPS etc).
We’re not holding our breath for a confirmed launch date or price from JiaYu anytime soon, but we hope the JiaYu S1 launches around the same time as the Xiaomi Mi3 and Oppo Find 7 (September time) with a China price of around 1799 Yuan ($293).
