Chip-maker Qualcomm at the MWC19 back in February hinted that the year 2019 will usher in not less than 30 5G enabled devices – mostly smartphones. The Chipmaker might be right after all, as more 5G enabled phones keep rolling out every now and then.

We saw a number of them at the Feb. MWC, and now, and the case isn’t different at the Shanghai MWC19 currently been held in China. It was OPPO hours ago, then Nubia, and now, Lenovo is throwing its hat into the 5G ring with the launch of the Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G.

Much like other 5G phones from rival phone makers, the Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G Edition is virtually the same as the standard Lenovo Z6 Pro – packing the same hardware, albeit a slight design change, and the inclusion of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X50 modem to enable 5G connectivity.

Speaking of the design, the LenovoZ6 Pro 5G comes with a transparent back which gives you a look at the internal circuit board, but it’s most likely offers a look at the fake innards of the phone similar to Xiaomi Mi 8 explorer edition. Lenovo has yet to announce the device pricing and roll out plans.

5G connectivity aside, the Z6 Pro packs enough of a punch inside, and even externally to ensure it competes with similar devices from rival OEMs.

Embedded in a made out of metal and glass construction, the Lenovo Z6 Pro (5G) gets a pretty non-existing bezel, a water drop notch to house the front camera with virtually no chin below.  It gets a 6.39″ display with an in-display fingerprint sensor, with a larger recognition area, faster unlock support and the ability to detect wet fingers.  The display supports  DCI-P3 color gamut, DC Dimming, and HDR 10.
