[360 VR] Insta360 gets a new 'Air' version, almost ready to ship!

Makers of the popular Insta360 have come up with the new Insta360 Air camera after successfully completing a crowdfunding campaign for the same.

The campaign ended up reaching 1183% of the initial $20,000 goal, finishing with $236,586 being raised by 1215 backers. Coming back to the camera itself, it is essentially a 360-degree camera that hooks on to your smartphone -- it works with phones with both, standard micro USB and Type-C connectors.

The concept is quite cool, it'll basically allow any Android smartphone owner to shoot some really cool 2K video. It'll also let you take pictures in 3k (3008 x 1504p).

The form factor if the Insta360 Air should make it easy to carry around also. It measures 37.6 x 37.6 x 39.5mm (so, nearly a perfect sphere) and weighs just 26.5g.
