Carl Pei Shows Off A New USB-C Cable That Will Ship With Nothing Phone (2)

Nothing Phone (2) is official! Per the last announcement, Nothing will unveil the phone globally on July 11. And to build anticipation, Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, has been sharing details of the phone on his Twitter account. Most recently, the CEO has shared the new cable that will ship with the device.

In case you didn't know, the Nothing Phone (1) shipped with a plain white cable. Given that the device had a unique design, many hoped to see Nothing including a special cable inside the box. Well, Carl Pei has heard the calls. Nothing has prepared a brand-new USB-C cable for the Phone (2). And honestly, it looks amazing.

Nothing Phone (2) Will Ship with a Transparent USB-C Cable

So, the new cable for the Nothing Phone (2) will match the theme of the device. The cable itself is still white, which is fine, to be honest. But, on the USB-C plugs, the new cable has transparent plastic. The shared images show a gray material with a "Nothing" logo etched onto it.

Interestingly, the new cable for Nothing Phone (2) has a row of six circles. Carl Pei did not mention the purpose of these circles. But it could be LEDs, which will make the cable match the device's back part.

Nonetheless, this new USB-C cable design is more in-line with the trademark aesthetics of Nothing. It will match well with the unique SIM ejector tool that Nothing bundled with its Phone (1).

And while the design of Phone (2) is still speculative, the last official teaser confirmed that it will have a transparent design with LEDs on the back. So, if the USB-C cable does come with LEDs, the accessories included with the device will feel complete.
