No doubt, there will be a preponderance of foldable smartphones from next year. This year, the likes of Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X faced huge challenges that took months to sort out. Besides these two foldable devices, there are other less known foldable phones like which are doing well in their niche. Saamsung and Huawei are already preparing their second foldable phones. However, TCL has just released a video of the prototype of its first foldable smartphone. This phone from TCL can assume a Z-shape because it has two hinges. In addition, it can unfold into a full-size tablet.
As shows in the video, the foldable display has not yet been installed. The display is actually the most technical aspect of a foldable smartphone. It is not the first prototype that TCL shows. TCL is only partially known in Europe, among other things, the manufacturer sells its Android smartphones as Alcatel. The foldable ideas of many manufacturers are exciting, but until now, only Samsung and Huawei has final devices. However, we expect the new Motorola Razr in November.
