After launching the Q1011 last night, XOLO are back with another budget smartphone for India, this time a 5.5-incher.
The Q2000L again sits around the 10k INR mark, and succeeds the MediaTek powered Q2000 that was released last year. This time round, XOLO have gone for a Broadcom chip, perhaps because they're better at software updates when compared to MediaTek.
With a clock frequency of 1.2GHz, the Broadcom chipset in question - BCM23550 - comes with 4x Cortex A7 cores much like the MediaTek MT6589. The 5.5-inch display panel houses a rather austere (by today's standards) resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, which falls short of the 720p resolution seen on the Q1011. An FHD capable 8 mega-pixel shooter sits on the rear of the device, which is given company by a 2 mega-pixel front.
The remaining specifications of the device are pretty obvious, considering the 10,299 INR price tag the Q2000L bears - 1GB RAM, 8GB of expandable storage and a 2500mAh battery. However, XOLO have managed to get a KitKat build working for the device, which means it'll be among the fewer KitKat powered devices out of the box in the 10k INR range.
