Oppo ColorOS feature video

Official Oppo video shows some of the great features which come on the new Color ROM for the Find 5 and Oppo N1.

Oppo have been paving the way for developers to get their hands on source code, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t interested in building their own ROM’s and in fact the latest ColorOS looks like one of the best we have seen in a while.

Some of the key features of the new ColorOS include:

Exclusive Space: Exclusive space are large widgets where you can take photos, browse your gallery and play music through the built-in media player. We assume more apps will receive their own spaces in later updates.

Custom Gesture Panel: Sliding down from the top of the screen brings up a Custom Gesture Panel allowing quick access to some commonly used apps. Drawing an ‘O’ brings up the camera apps, while a ‘V’ turns on the LED flashlight.

Gesture Screen Shots: taking screenshots while watching video is now gesture controlled. Just slide 3 fingers down the screen and the shot is taken.

Animated Weather Wallpapers: The weather app is now tied in to the the wallpapers on your phone so depending on the weather you will get a sunny animated wallpaper, snow fall, rain or thunderstorms.

With further updates Oppo will bring more interesting feature to ColorOS, but the big question is if Oppo will bring their ROM to rival devices and attract more Ofans in similar fashion as Xiaomi do with MIUI?
