Xiaomi are currently building production up steam for a full on China wide launch after problems along the supply chain put China's latest all original Android smartphone on hold. However, the Gingerbread powered, dual-core Xiaomi is shipping and it comes packed in stylish eco-friendly packaging.
Xiaomi have put a lot of time and effort in to the design of the box, which details the Xiaomi's internals rather than design, and can reportedly take the weight of an electronics company CEO jumping up and down on it!
The looks like something you would get from Muji, with it's all natural simple look. It makes a refreshing change from the classy white of Meizu's boxing and compact style of the iPhone 4S' .
Inside the box, Xiaomi have supplied a 4-inch protector to keep everything looking as good as new while resting in your pocket.
Overall the 1.5 Ghz dual core Xiaomi phone looks like great complete package, especially when considering the 8-megapixel rear camera, large 4-inch screen and wonderful attention to detail the designers have gone to for what is essentially a budget phone on the Chinese market!
The Xiaomi is on limited release for 1999 Yuan ($314) but if you are a forum member you may still be able to pick one up for 1699 Yuan! ($267).
