Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro Flagship Already in the Works With 10,000mAh Battery

The information is still scarce about Qualcomm's new flagship CPU series. However, the first leaks suggest the company will unveil two variants of its new flagship lineup. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. The Pro variant is expected to be the company's first chipset in the new 2nm architecture. Ahead of the release, tipster Digital Chat Station reports that a new high-performance smartphone series has entered testing and could become one of the most powerful gaming-focused phones on the market.

According to recent leaks, the top version of the device is being tested with Qualcomm’s upcoming 2nm Snapdragon 8-series flagship processor. The phone is also expected to feature a massive 10,000mAh battery, advanced cooling, and an ultra-fast display.

The new flagship CPU from Qualcomm certainly is an interesting detail. However, battery size also impresses. As per Digital Chat Station, there will be an entire lineup for this particular "flagship" family. The top-end model is rumored to pack a battery larger than 10,000mAh, which would easily place it among the biggest batteries ever seen in a flagship smartphone.

To keep temperatures under control, the device is also expected to include a new-generation active cooling fan. This should help maintain stable performance during gaming and other heavy tasks. Alongside the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro variant, a standard model is reportedly being tested with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. There may also be a lower-end version powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. This model could feature a 1.5K display with a high refresh rate. Interestingly, the tip also suggests camera upgrades across the lineup - That's a cryptic part, after all, we don't know these devices' identities, so we can't guess what is actually being upgraded here.
