Redmi 9i Launched In India With Higher RAM & Internal Storage

Xiaomi doesn't leave any price point behind. They launch phones at every price point. The recent phone to get released is the Redmi 9i. The Redmi 9i is now officially launched in India. It is an entry-level phone. A massive battery, higher RAM, and internal features are the highlights of the Xiaomi Redmi 9i. Below you will find the full specifications and pricing of the 9i.

The budget-oriented phone sports a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 720 x 1600. The display flaunts a teardrop notch. Coming to the cameras, there is a 13-megapixel single shooter coupled with an LED Flash. It is capable of video recording at 1080p@30/60fps. On the front side, you will get a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. The selfie cam can record videos at 1080p@30fps.

Coming to the performance side, the phone features an Helio G25 chipset. The Helio G25 is the MediaTek's entry-level gaming chipset. It is based on the 12nm process. On the graphics side, the SoC uses PowerVR GE8320. As I mentioned before, the Redmi 9i's main selling point will be more RAM and higher storage. The Redmi 9i features 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM. Whereas, you can get a storage option including 64GB and 128GB.

The second biggest highlight of the phone is its massive battery. The Redmi 9i has a 5000mAH battery however charging speed is limited to 10W. The latest entry-level phone also comes with the latest software experience. The Redmi 9i comes out of the box with MIUI 12 based on Android 10. The MIUI 12 is the latest version of Xiaomi's custom UI. It's a good plus since you won't have to wait for the update.

It is a phone which we have seen before. It is a re-branded Redmi 9A. However, the change that Redmi 9i has is the increase in RAM and internal storage. To compare, the Redmi 9A comes with 2GB RAM/32GB storage and 3GB RAM/32 Gb storage. Whereas, the Redmi 9i has 4GB RAM and 64/128GB storage options.

The 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant come at Rs 8,299 (~$113). Whereas, the variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage comes at Rs 9,299 (~$126). You will be able to grab the phone from Flipkart, and other Xiaomi stores starting Sept. 18 at 12 PM. Color options include Nature Green, Sea Blue, and Midnight Black.
