Samsung reportedly still developing Galaxy S26 Edge successor under “More Slim” codename

Samsung may not have completely scrapped the Galaxy S26 Edge, contrary to earlier claims. According to sources cited by Galaxy Club, the company has been internally developing a new device codenamed “More Slim.” This device is described as thinner and lighter than the Galaxy S25 Edge, which carried the codename “Slim.”

This development suggests that Samsung may have restructured rather than cancelled the S26 Edge project. The new device, however, is said to be significantly behind other Galaxy S26 models in production progress. This means that its release could be delayed or even separated from the main lineup.

“More Slim” may not be the same phone as the first S26 Edge plan. It may be a later add-on that grew from new tests or market need. The leak says the dev team is still in the mid-stage of work, so the phone may not be ready by the next launch date.

The leak adds that “More Slim” will not clash with the S26 Plus. Both can fit in Samsung’s new lineup plan. The S26 Plus will still serve the wide group of users, while “More Slim” aims for a niche crowd that wants a sleek, light phone that still feels high-end.

This move may help Samsung stand out in the thin-phone trend and keep its grip on the top-tier space. The mix of Pro, Plus, and “More Slim” would give users more size and shape picks.

Right now, the “More Slim” work is far behind the other S26 units. The delay could mean its debut comes months later, much like how the S25 Edge came out late in its year.

Insiders say it’s still not clear if the phone will ship as the “Galaxy S26 Edge.” Samsung could change the name before launch, or fold it into a new line. But for now, the Edge name isn’t dead yet—it’s just taking a slimmer turn.
