Okay, so Samsung has just put out the word: they are throwing their annual pre-CES event, which they call "The First Look," and it’s happening on January 4, 2026. That’s two days before the Consumer Electronics Show even officially starts. They want to grab the spotlight first, you know?
The whole thing is going down in the Latour Ballroom at the Wynn Las Vegas. Pretty fancy.

What’s the Big Deal? It’s All About AI.

The main focus of this keynote isn't just about a new phone or a new TV—it’s bigger than that. It’s all about Samsung’s DX (Device eXperience) Division and their entire “vision for 2026.” And the biggest buzzword they keep using is AI-driven customer experiences.
Basically, they are telling the world how they plan to inject cutting-edge AI into absolutely everything they make. Think smartphones, washing machines, TVs—the whole shebang.
TM Roh, who is the big boss, the CEO and Head of the DX Division, is going to lead the keynote. That's a huge clue that this event is going to be heavy on the mobile and smart device strategy, and how all those gadgets are finally going to talk to each other seamlessly, powered by AI.

What We Expect to See at the Event

While the speech is about the vision, people are definitely hoping to see some actual tech. Here’s what’s rumored to show up:

  • The Galaxy Z TriFold: Remember the crazy three-folding phone? It recently launched in South Korea, but everyone is waiting for the global announcement. This is the perfect stage for Samsung to drop the global availability dates and, more importantly, the US price for the Galaxy Z TriFold.
  • New Home Tech: Since other top company leaders, like the heads of the Visual Display and Digital Appliances teams, are going to be on stage, you should expect big reveals for smart TVs and home appliances, all with those shiny new AI features built in.
If you can’t make it to Vegas, don’t stress. Samsung is going to be livestreaming the whole thing on the Samsung Newsroom and their official YouTube channel. So mark your calendar for January 4th—it should be a good show.
