Another
Android tablet arrives from the depths of Shenzhen, but this one has a
name to live up to!
NeXT was the computer brand which the late Steve Jobs began when he was fired from Apple in the 80’s. The company made awesome looking
cube computers which gained a cult following.
This
Android tablet, branded as a ‘next’ has nothing to do with the iconic brand that once was, but does have some nice styling cues which make it stand out from the crowd.
Known officially as the ‘next 10-inch tablet’ the 690 gram device features a (you guessed it ) 10-inch touch screen, and a rather
thin 11mm body.
Crammed in to the svelte frame hides a Freescale iMX515 Cortex A8 800mhz CPU, 512mb DDR2
RAM, 4GB FLASH memory and a 3400mAh
battery.
A
front camera is on hand to catch photos, and a 3G connection allows you to email them no matter where you are.
The overall look of the Next is similar to one of Archos 10-inch offerings, however it’s likely that this model will cost a little less.
